Oriol Artigas Viticultors

Vilassar de Dalt

Variety: 100½ Pansa Blanca

The harvest is manual, once in the winery the grapes are destemmed without stepping, to make a maceration with the skins for 11 days. After this period of time the grapes are pressed and fermented in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts. Finished the fermentation rests with its fine lees during 9 months in these same deposits. It is bottled without clarifying, nor stabilizing, nor filtering and without adding sulfurous.

It is an aromatic, crunchy and sharp wine. On the nose, aromas of ripe white fruit, notes of white flowers and Mediterranean herbs stand out. The palate is tasty, with a certain volume and structure, with a fairly long finish.

Oriol Artigas is a young vinater of the few that are known in the region of Alella. Born in Vilassar de Dalt, after a few years studying and venerating in different regions of Catalan geography, Oriol had clear his intention to find roots in his own territory.

In his own words to seek identity in its origins and to be able to interpret the landscape that has accompanied him all the life. Its Maresmenca origin has led him to be a great connoisseur of some of the most interesting and ancient plots in the region of which he makes several parcelarios and the two rumberos, his flagship sailing boats.

From Mas Pellisser, an adopted winery located in Llinars, a northeastern edge of the DO, works plots of both the sea and mountain sides along the entire territory and vines them with wisdom and identity of territory.
